About InteractInk
InteractInk is a community imageboard — a place to post, reply, and share images and video with real accounts instead of anonymous handles. Think of it as a mix of a classic imageboard's fast, casual posting style and the accountability of a normal social profile: everyone signs up with an email, username, and password, so conversations stay a little more grounded.
Who it's for
InteractInk is for people who want to post and talk in focused communities — around a topic, a fandom, a hobby, or just a shared sense of humor — without needing a big following or a polished profile first. Browsing is open to anyone; posting, replying, and liking just require a free account.
Why it exists
We wanted a place that keeps the best parts of imageboard culture — quick posting, image and video-first threads, communities built around specific interests — while still being a place people can be found and followed, build a small reputation, and have a real conversation instead of a wall of disconnected anonymous posts. That's InteractInk: real accounts, community-driven boards, and a straightforward, no-nonsense way to post.
Built by one person
InteractInk isn't run by a company, a moderation team, or an ad agency — it's built and maintained by a single developer. That has real trade-offs both ways. On one hand, there's no layer of product managers between a bug report and a fix, no A/B-tested engagement tricks, and no roadmap dictated by investors — decisions about features and moderation are made by the person actually using the site alongside you. On the other hand, things move at the pace of one person's spare time: new features roll out gradually, and if something breaks, it might take a little longer to sort out than it would on a bigger platform with a whole engineering team. If you run into something that doesn't work right, let us know — reports genuinely get read and acted on, not filed away.
What you'll find here
A home feed with For You and Following tabs, so you can see what's popular right now or just keep up with people you follow. Posts can carry text, images, and video, and every post supports replies, reposts, and quote posts so conversations actually thread instead of scattering. Beyond the main feed, InteractInk has communities — smaller boards built around a specific topic or interest — along with Lists for grouping accounts you want to follow together, bookmarks for saving posts, notifications, and direct messages for private conversations. It's meant to feel like one connected place rather than a pile of disconnected features.
Our approach
A few things guide how InteractInk is built: real accounts instead of throwaway anonymity, so people are a little more accountable for what they post, without requiring your legal name or turning the site into a popularity contest. Straightforward moderation with public rules, rather than opaque or arbitrary enforcement. Tools that put control in your hands — you can block, mute, and report — instead of leaving you at the mercy of an algorithm or a crowd. And a bias toward keeping things simple: posting, following, and finding a community you like shouldn't require a manual.
